The need for The CIO Partnership was first identified in early 2006, based on the firsthand experience of the founding director Kevin Borley. Whilst working as a CIO (Chief Information Officer) in the mid cap and SME sectors, it became clear that many issues associated with the use and management of technology were common regardless of scale and complexity of organisation.
It was also clear that many growing organisations had difficulty finding trusted, objective advice backed by hands on practical management experience of the type that Kevin and his colleagues had. Richard Rose joined forces with Kevin in 2009 and after extensive research, The CIO Partnership was launched to market the joint experience of Kevin and Richard and their associate team.
We aim to establish long term relationships with clients based on knowledge of their business, markets and to bring to them a blend of thought leadership, operational management pragmatism and incisive assessment, normally only available to large scale technology dependant businesses. We work together with the client to ensure that costly mistakes are avoided and difficult service delivery issues are resolved.
Our experience has been gained by working either as the CIO or as part of the technology leadership team in the following organisations:-
BOC Group, Datasolve, Syntegra, Thorn EMI, Clifford Chance, TUI UK and TUI AG, London International, Treatt plc, Prudential Assurance, Unum, The Granada Group, Bertelsmann AG, BT Group, Matthew Clark, Dresser Industries, MWB Group, Medishield, Shaw Trust, Occam-DM, AT&T, Unisouce Business Networks, ADP Network Service, Misys Group, GEC Software, Globix Corporation,Vodafone UK.
Now The CIO Partnership is working with a variety of Mid Cap companies to help them generate faster growth and reduced costs by leveraging their IT.
The CIO Partnership is a member of the BVCA (The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association)
